What AuditAE measures

AuditAE takes the simplest honest shape in this category: pay five cents, get a check across four assistants, keep the full answer and the citations. There is no subscription, no seat count and no tier gating which engines you may see.

That pricing model deserves credit for what it implies. Metering by the check makes the cost of a reading visible, which quietly encourages the right behaviour — asking the same question repeatedly, because one reading of a variable answer is not a measurement.

What Veribix measures

Veribix does the same kind of polling and then does the part AuditAE does not attempt: joining it to what happened on your site. Crawler activity, sessions, key events and revenue come from your own systems, and each figure carries its source and a confidence label.

For a team that wants to know whether they are cited, AuditAE answers that directly and cheaply. For a team being asked what AI search contributed to the business, that answer is assembled from first-party data or not at all.

What neither can see

Before comparing features it is worth naming the limits both approaches share, because a vendor that does not name them is not being straight with you.

Referrer stripping is the first. A captured citation tells you a model pointed at your URL; it cannot tell you that the reader arrived, because the arrival frequently carries no referring page.

The second is the mention with no click behind it, and per-check pricing makes the boundary unusually clear: you are buying a reading of the answer layer, precisely and cheaply, and nothing about your own site.

The third is variance, which the per-check model actually encourages you to handle correctly — five cents per reading makes repeated sampling affordable, and repeated sampling is the only honest way to read an answer that moves. Veribix reports presence as a share of runs for the same reason.
