Veribix vs Mentionable

What each product measures, from which data source, and what neither of them can see. Everything stated about Mentionable here comes from Mentionable's own site.

What Mentionable measures

Mentionable polls seven engines on every plan and makes a point of not charging per engine, which removes a common source of confusion when comparing this category on price. Plans are drawn by prompt count and scan credits rather than by coverage.

It adds competitor and source analysis — which domains the models cite when they answer — and, on the Agency plan, white-label reporting for consultants running this for clients.

What Veribix measures

Veribix reads your first-party systems and assembles what arrived: crawler activity from logs or Cloudflare, sessions and revenue from GA4, search context from Search Console. Each figure links back to the log line or analytics row it came from.

Source analysis is a useful bridge between the two approaches. Knowing which pages the models cite tells you where to work; knowing what those pages then delivered tells you whether the work paid. The first is Mentionable's territory, the second is measured from your own data.

What neither can see

Before comparing features it is worth naming the limits both approaches share, because a vendor that does not name them is not being straight with you.

Referrer stripping is the first. Citation analysis can tell you which page a model leaned on; it cannot tell you that the reader who saw that citation ever arrived, because the visit often carries no referring page at all.

The second is the mention with no click behind it. That is the honest limit of source analysis: knowing which of your pages the models cite tells you where to work, and says nothing about what the work returned. The return is measurable only from your own analytics.

The third is run-to-run variance, which is why seven-engine coverage should be read as seven distributions rather than seven facts. Veribix reports presence the same way — a share of runs, with the number of runs shown, and no composite figure implying a settled order.

Questions

Does Veribix charge per AI engine?
No. Like Mentionable, engine coverage is not an add-on. Plans differ by data sources connected, prompt volume and retention.
Can I white-label Veribix reports?
Report export is available on all paid plans; white-label presentation is an agency-tier feature. Mentionable includes it on its Agency plan.
Does Veribix show which pages AI assistants cite?
Yes, from the stored answers, and it joins those pages to what they delivered in your analytics — which is the part that requires first-party access.
