Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives

If you are measuring AI visibility with Ahrefs Brand Radar and wondering what a first-party approach would show instead, this is the honest version of that comparison.

What Ahrefs Brand Radar says it does

Ahrefs describes Brand Radar as tracking and growing a brand's visibility across AI answers, YouTube and Reddit, framed as turning SEO into answer engine optimisation.

What your Brand Radar data means

If you already run Ahrefs, Brand Radar sits beside data you trust and share of voice against competitors is genuinely hard to reproduce elsewhere. That is a real reason to keep it.

What it reports is presence in the answer layer. Whether that presence produced sessions, signups or revenue on your site is a first-party question, and it is not the question an index answers.

What carries over and what does not

Nothing needs to move. Brand Radar is an add-on to a workflow you already have, and Veribix connects to your analytics and logs without touching it.

The prompt index does not carry over and no independent tool can match it. Veribix runs name-free category prompts against a shared corpus, which is a different economic model for a different purpose, not a substitute for index scale.

Running both

This is the least conflicted pairing on the site. If you already pay for Ahrefs, keep it; index breadth and first-party attribution are not competing purchases.

The only real trade is budget. At $398 or $699 a month for the add-on, the question is whether adding first-party attribution answers a question your management is asking that share of voice does not.

Before you decide

Check whether the add-on is being read by anyone. At this price the most common failure is not that the data is wrong but that share of voice is reviewed monthly, nodded at, and never acted on.

Then check whether your management asks about visibility or about contribution. Brand Radar answers the first thoroughly. The second is a first-party question and index scale does not reach it.

And check whether you are paying for platforms you do not need. The gap between the two published tiers is three hundred dollars a month, and the higher one is justified by prompt index access that many teams will never open.

Finally, remember this is an add-on rather than part of the plan you already pay for, so cancelling it does not affect the toolset your team uses daily. That makes it unusually easy to test the assumption that it is earning its cost.

Questions

Does Veribix have an index of AI prompts like Ahrefs?
No, and it would be misleading to suggest otherwise. Veribix runs a shared corpus of category prompts, which is a far smaller thing than a large prompt index.
Do I need Ahrefs to use Veribix?
No. Veribix connects to your Google Analytics property, your Search Console, your server logs and optionally Cloudflare. It has no dependency on any SEO suite.
Is Veribix an Ahrefs replacement?
No. Ahrefs is a search index and toolset; Veribix measures what AI assistants send to your site from your own data. They answer different questions.
