Veribix vs Ahrefs Brand Radar

What each product measures, from which data source, and what neither of them can see. Everything stated about Ahrefs Brand Radar here comes from Ahrefs Brand Radar's own site.

What Ahrefs Brand Radar measures

Brand Radar brings Ahrefs' index to the answer layer: mentions across AI answers, competitor benchmarking, and citation discovery, alongside YouTube, TikTok and Reddit monitoring. The prompt index behind the higher plan is at a scale no independent tool in this category can assemble.

It is sold as an add-on rather than folded into a standard Ahrefs plan, which is worth knowing before comparing the figure with a standalone product's subscription.

What Veribix measures

Veribix does not attempt index scale and should not be compared on it. It reads the systems you own and reports the funnel that followed — crawler activity, sessions, key events, revenue, per assistant and per page, each figure resolving to the log line or analytics row it came from.

There is one thing a company with Ahrefs' position structurally cannot say, and it is the thing Veribix is built to say: that the honest answer for a given site, this quarter, may be that AI search brought very little. A tool sold to a large existing base has every reason to report opportunity. That asymmetry, rather than any feature, is the real difference here.

What neither can see

Before comparing features it is worth naming the limits both approaches share, because a vendor that does not name them is not being straight with you.

Referrer stripping is the first, and index scale does not touch it. Knowing at population scale which prompts mention you says nothing about whether the resulting visits were attributable in your own analytics, because many of them are not.

The second is the mention that produced no visit. Share of voice is a measure of the answer layer. It is a real quantity and it is not revenue, and the distance between them is exactly the distance first-party measurement covers.

The third is variance, which a large index smooths at population level while leaving it fully present for any single brand. Your own visibility is still a distribution, which is why Veribix shows the sample count beside every presence figure.

Questions

Does Veribix have an index of AI prompts like Ahrefs?
No, and it would be misleading to suggest otherwise. Veribix runs a shared corpus of category prompts, which is a far smaller thing than a large prompt index.
Do I need Ahrefs to use Veribix?
No. Veribix connects to your Google Analytics property, your Search Console, your server logs and optionally Cloudflare. It has no dependency on any SEO suite.
Is Veribix an Ahrefs replacement?
No. Ahrefs is a search index and toolset; Veribix measures what AI assistants send to your site from your own data. They answer different questions.
