AIAttention alternatives

If you are measuring AI visibility with AIAttention and wondering what a first-party approach would show instead, this is the honest version of that comparison.

What AIAttention says it does

AIAttention describes itself as an answer-engine analytics platform that measures how often and how prominently AI chatbots mention a brand, expressed as an AI Attention Score from zero to a hundred.

What your AIAttention data means

A trend in the score over months is more informative than any single reading of it, and if you have been watching the direction rather than the number you have been using it well.

If you are on the Business plan you have raw responses, which is the part worth keeping. Raw answers can be re-examined; a score cannot.

What carries over and what does not

Prompts and the competitor set carry over as decisions. Veribix runs name-free category prompts against a shared corpus and keeps branded ones private to your account.

A composite score does not carry over, and could not honestly — it is a formula specific to one vendor. Your analytics and log history is already yours and needs no migration.

Running both

AIAttention's free tier makes a parallel reading cost nothing, and a second independent view of the same period is worth having.

If you are picking one, decide by what you must be able to defend. A score is easy to present and hard to defend under questioning; a figure with a link to its evidence is the reverse.

Before you decide

Check whether you can open the raw answers behind your score. On the lower plans you cannot, and a composite figure you cannot inspect is a figure you cannot defend when someone asks how it was calculated.

Then ask what decision the score has changed. If a rising score has never altered what you do, it is a comfort metric, and comfort metrics are the easiest spending to cut.

And check how many models feed the score on your plan. Two on the free tier and twelve on Business are different measurements wearing the same name, and a score that changes because your plan changed is not a change in your visibility.

Finally, write down what the score would have to do before you changed a decision. If you cannot answer that, the number is not being used, whatever the trend line looks like.

Questions

Why does Veribix not give a single visibility score?
Because answers vary between runs, so a single number implies a stability that does not exist. Veribix reports the share of runs in which a company appeared, with the sample count shown.
Does Veribix let me see the raw model answers?
Yes, on every paid plan. Stored answers are the evidence behind any presence figure, and a figure whose evidence you cannot open is one you cannot check.
Does Veribix detect competitors automatically?
Competitors named in stored answers are recorded, and you can also track a list you choose. Prompts naming a competitor are treated as branded and stay private to your account.
